On Stars.bz, all WordPress admin areas have an additonal login prompt known as the Human Security Check.

The prompt stops the majority of automated login attempts, though some do still get through. This is because the login/password is the same for everybody, so it is not as secure as it could be.

You can now change the login and password so that it is unique to your website.

It is easy to do. Here’s how.

Edit The .htaccess File

Find this block of code:

Code: [Select]
AuthName “Human Security Check”
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /home/.htpasswd
require valid-user

Change the AuthUserFile line so it becomes:

Code: [Select]
AuthName “Human Security Check”
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /home/USERNAME/.htpasswd
require valid-user

Replace the USERNAME with your cPanel username.

Creating a New Login and Password

The line will look something like this:

Code: [Select]
bob:$apr1$4cydQfVB$wrGzg/HetzGnk7hOWm3qf1
Test It Out

That’s it! You can now test it to make sure it is working properly by visiting your WordPress admin dashboard.

If you are having problems with setting this up, please post on our forums or open a support ticket and we will help you out.
